Boarding at Brockhurst

Marlston House aims to make boarding an extension of family life. The Housemaster and his family live in the school with the assistance of his wife, together with a qualified SRN and the resident matrons.

In recent years, boarding has evolved into a flexible system which allows girls to board for one or more nights a week according to choice and as a consequence, boarding at Marlston House is now proving very popular. Boarders have their own common room in which to relax.

Our system of flexi-boarding gives girls all the fun that is shared in a boarding community and enables them to take advantage of the many hobbies and activities provided for them during evenings and at weekends.

Outings and educational trips are an important part of boarding and school life at Marlston House.

By living together they learn to share and to have consideration for others and, with encouragement, they learn to stand on their own feet and, increasingly, to shoulder responsibility.
